Into The Gyre (2012)

"Into the Gyre" is an award-winning documentary about a groundbreaking expedition to study plastic pollution in the North Atlantic Ocean. Sailing on a 135-foot tall ship, thirty-four volunteer researchers, scientists and sailors participated in this adventure to the remote Sargasso Sea. The film examines the history of plastics, its adverse effects, and possible solutions to this problem.
